About the Show

What

The Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Expo is North America's largest indoor/outdoor living show with over 450 exhibitors who display and demonstrate hearth products, pools & spas, casual furniture, barbecues, and accessory products. Each year the show attracts over 11,000 attendees including specialty retailers, installing distributors, HVAC contractors, and LP and hardware dealers.

Important Dates

September 1, 2008 Housing opens online, by fax, by mail, and by phone.
September 1, 2008 Pre-Registration opens online, by fax, and by mail.
January 26, 2009 Badge mailing begins. Membership dues and registration fees, if applicable, must be paid to receive badges by mail. International companies must pick up badges onsite.
February 13, 2009 Last day to receive a hotel room in the HPBA block at the special, discounted HPBA prices.
February 23, 2009 Registration deadline to receive badge(s) by mail. After this date, you must pick-up your badge(s) in Reno.
March 16, 2009 Final Pre-Registration deadline.

Camera Policy

Cameras will be allowed on the show floor, but no picture taking, including cell phone pictures is allowed without the express approval of a company representative in the exhibitor booth that is being photographed.

Children

In accordance with display rules & regulations and security measures, children under the age of 12 are prohibited from entering the trade show floor at any time, including infants. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Children 12 and older must have a badge to enter exhibit halls.

Airport Shuttle Information

The airport is just 10 minutes away from downtown. All HPBA Official Hotels offer complimentary shuttles to and from the airport.

HPBA Hotel Shuttle Service

HPBA will offer shuttle bus service from Peppermill, Grand Sierra, Silver Legacy, and Eldorado to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Please note the Atlantis is connected to the Center via skywalk. No shuttle service will be provided.

Service will be from 7:00am to 6:00pm with two exceptions. Wednesday’s last run from the convention center will be at 5:00pm instead of 6:00pm, and Friday’s last run from the convention center will be at 7:30pm.

Parking –

General Public
There is a charge of seven dollars ($7) per vehicle or per parking space unit, whichever is greater. For example, RV units will be charged according to the number of spaces used.

Exhibitor/Vendors
Unlimited In/Out privileges are provided to exhibitors/vendors who purchase an Exhibitor pass. The seven-dollar ($7) per-day exhibitor pass may be purchased from the RSCC Security Department and is valid only for Lots D & E located on the east side of the convention center. Should Lots D & E be full, overflow parking for exhibitors/vendors will be directed to the north end of Lot C.
